TV vs. Books

It use to be common for people some years ago to read books, though things are different today and there are a few people who still prefer reading before watching TV. Nowadays, people are in a constant lack of time and they have no time for reading so they watching TV instead. There are off course some historical factors that influence such situation. For example it is common that people had no TV some ages ago and all they were able to do is reading. Though, times had changed and no people have a number of alternatives to replace reading with. There are television, video and s on and so forth. People have a number of entertainments and they have no need in books anymore.
Though. It is impossible for culture to develop without literature. Books provide us with opportunity the television will never manage to provide. It is common that people who watch films produced after some book state that reading of book was more interesting and exiting than watching a movie. It may easily be explained. While one is reading a book the imagination of person works. People have different images about people they read about and events. But, when they watching a movie they see images about the same events but those images belong to another person. And there is no imagination able to create images more impressive than those one's imagination creates.
Today the struggle between television and literature is of great importance. People divided into two groups. One group consists of those who prefer television before literature and the second group consists of those who prefer literature before reading. Frankly speaking both groups are wrong. There is no way for one of this fabulous art like television and literature to be preferred before another. It is important to find the perfect middle between them. In order to do it one has to know all advantages and disadvantages of both.
It is important to know the advantages of television in order not to make a wrong choice in favor of literature only. It is true that television informs us about a number of interesting things and spares out time. Though, it gives no opportunity for our imagination to operate. And in case if we will lost our ability for imagination our life will be deprived of a number of beautiful things. Not hard to be that world deprived of fabulous things created by our imagination will be dull and boring. Though, the world without TV, that gives us an opportunity to see things, animals and fests we would never saw without it, will also be dull and boring.
So, it is wrong to make one's choice in favor of one or another. Parents who state that TV has to be forbidden for children are wrong, and those who educate their children by means of books are also wrong. The perfect middle has to be found through analyzing modern literature and modern TV. That is what we are going to do, as this question is of great importance nowadays. There are features typical only for television and there are features typical only for literature and we are going to find out these features. It would also be great to find out the influence of those two arts to minds of people.
